How can I participate?
The Phan Club has a variety of activities going on during the
season and even the pre-season. Below are some of the ways you can
participate in the activities sponsored by the Phan Club. Note:
Some items are "Members Only Events" so you would have
to join the Phan Club to participate in those particular ones!
Committees
Listed below are the Phan Club standing committees -- and which
board member they report to. These committees coordinate specific
Phan Club activities and events.
BANQUET - Reports to
1st VP (Members Only Event)
The 2006-2007 Annual Banquet is a Phan Club members only event
to be held on
Monday, April 9, 2007. If you would like to help the
committee that coordinates this event, please contact Mary at Banquet@PhantomsPhanClub.org
for additional information or visit the Phan Table on the concourse
at home games.
The dress code is business casual attire. No autographs or personal cameras are STRICTLY PROHIBITED!
The banquet consists of dinner & entertainment that enables
Phan Club members, Phantom players & coaching staff as well
as their spouses/significant others to get more acquainted. We hold
raffles that include for a 50/50 pot and various Phantom memorabilia.
The banquet is organized by committee.
PPPC member? Like to scrapbook? Like to take pictures and collect
articles of your favorite player? Then you're just the person we're
looking for. How would you like the opportunity* to present your
favorite* player with your creation on behalf of the Philadelphia
Phantoms Phan Club?
More hands make the load light. With over 30 scrapbooks that need
to be prepared for presentation on behalf of the PPPC, we need YOU!
The Club supplies the book, the articles, and a modest funding for
supplies. The rest is basically* up to you. Like Secret Phan, the
final product is presented at the Season Ending banquet. Unlike
Secret Phan, you will pick the book you choose to complete!
Have lineup cards, special articles, pictures etc. of your favorite
player(s)? Photography a hobby? Any and all donations are always
welcomed and greatly appreciated! The more the committee has, the
better the books will be! Sorry, no reimbursements for supplies
or pictures will be granted. But all donations will be acknowledged
in EVERY book!
Please e-mail Scrapbooks@PhantomsPhanClub.org
if you are interested in joining or donating. Depending on the roster
finalization, selection will take place at October's Phan Club meeting.

Broomball Team
Home of the 2006 AHL Booster Club Champions
Broomball is game played like hockey, but we a few differences.
First, you do not have to know how to skate, you run on the ice
with special shoes. Second, you do not use a hockey stick you use
a broom, it is a stick in the shape of a paddle. Third, instead
of a puck you use a ball about 6 inches in diameter and finally
broomball goals are 5' by 7'.
We are a coed adult team (18 or older) and we play the game with
a no check format. All new players are welcomed to come and try
this fun game at one of our practices. You do not have to be a super
star to play. All you need to play is basic hockey equipment. We
will teach you how to play. We will lend you a broom at you first
practice and if you like it and want to join the team we can instruct
you how to get your shoes and other equipment.
Our home rink is the Ice Works in Aston, Pa. It is located in Delaware
County. For directions check out their web
page. We practice once a month from January until the tournament
and occasionally travel to scrimmage against other booster club
teams.
We are the 2004 American Hockey League Booster Club Association
Broomball Champions. We won the cup at this year's tournament
which the Hershey Bears Booster Club hosted. We play in a tournament
every year, usually during the summer months. This year's tournament
will be hosted by the Syracuse Crunch Booster Club on June 26th.
For more information on joining the Philadelphia Phantoms Phan
Club Broomball Team contact Mike Humphreys - Head Coach at MichaelFHumphreys@direcway.com.

November until the Banquet that member is responsible for providing
a goodie bag or gift each month + 2 additional gifts we call "freebies"
that can be used for a birthday, Christmas/Passover or just a whatever
gift -- each gift not to exceed $20.
For information contact Theresa Dowling at SecretPhan@PhantomsPhanClub.org.
Throughout the year we have fundraisers that include, but are not
limited to, lottery tickets, raffles (a 50/50 pot), Phantom memorabilia

First goal is a 50/50 drawing and the drawing is decided by the
Phantom that scores the first Phantom goal. To choose your Phantom
number come to the Phan Club table before the start of the 1st period,
and select a random chip that has a player's number on it. First
goal is only available during home games. Find out more at the Phan
Club table before the game. First goal proceeds go to selected charities
